Freda lives in the Central Valley and has a background in public health, pediatric nursing, and early childhood special education.

She is an administrator for a county Early Start Program, STARS intensive behavior program, and Special Education Preschool Assessment.

She is trained in Trauma and Resiliency, NCAST, Circle of Security, Pivotal Response, NRF, and Motivational Interviewing and attended the Napa Infant-Parent program. She is a member of the CDE CalECSE task force that supports early childhood professionals.

She has trained with Early Intervention providers throughout the state in relationship-based service delivery and reflective practice.

She developed reflective practice structures within the programs she supervised for over 20 years and supported one-third of all staff members to become endorsed as infant- early childhood mental health practitioners.

She has been married to Jim for 48 years, is the mother of a wonderful son and daughter-in-law, and has two amazing granddaughters.

She loves to cook, go camping with her family, and be wowed by the things that every family and teacher she has the privilege of meeting teaches her.
