Beth Heavilin is an inaugural member of the CalAIMH Board serving as Secretary. She is the Co-Coordinator of the 0 to 8 Mental Health Collaborative and provides support for families in community-based playgroups in a partnered effort between First 5 and the Office of Education. Additionally, Beth is the Director of the Humboldt, Infant-Family and Early Childhood Mental Health Training Program. Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s in Child Development and a Master’s in Education/Child Development. She is a fellow of the Napa, Parent-Infant and Child Institute and the Reflective Supervision, Coaching and Facilitating Academy and a recipient of the 2019 Dr. Bruce Perry Spirit of the Child Award. Beth endeavors to embed the practices and principles of the Infant-Family and Early Childhood Mental Health field into her direct services with families and is striving to create a transdisciplinary qualified workforce capable of supporting all pregnant and parenting families in her community.
