Our Focus
The Policy and Advocacy Committee is responsible for:
- Keeping track of and informing CalAIMH members of legislative and political issues affecting young children and families
- Developing and maintaining informational links to important policy issues for members and the general public via the CalAIMH website
- In collaboration with the Board, producing CalAIMH policy statements
How You Can Get Involved
CalAIMH members might want to consider joining the policy committee if they are passionate about advocacy work that affects children and families. The policy committee informs CalAIMH members of legislative and political issues affecting young children and families. We also support other organizations’ proposed legislation that will promote caregiver-child relational approaches to prevent and heal adversity in young children and families.
We meet
The last Thursday of the month from 7:30 to 8 am
