About this event
This live virtual training has been designed to examine how culture impacts the developmental journey of the young child, birth to five. We will define constructs including race, culture, ethnicity, privilege, and systemic racism. From an understanding that culture informs identity, ego, and relationships, we will describe culturally informed relationship engagement practices. Furthermore, we will engage in a challenging review of our dominant culture developmental science expanding our lens to consider the perspectives of marginalized communities, disenfranchised individuals, and the groups that remain absent from our developmental constructs. This training is a must for agencies seeking to build a work force aligned with a vision of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
