Mary San Jose Molna

How I will contribute to CalAIMH:

I am excited to contribute the perspective of an early childhood educator to CalAIMH’s work in supporting young children and their caregivers. I look forward to collaborating with the association to bring more IFECMH awareness to the field of early childhood education.

Bio:

Mary San Jose Molnar, MA. Ed.  is a first-generation Filipina American educator with over 21 years of experience, specializing in early childhood education since 2012. As a mother of two and a supportive partner, she is passionate about fostering inclusive environments for young learners. From 2018 to 2024, she served as a lead teacher, advocating for play-based learning and relationship building.

In addition to her teaching, she spent 10 years as a certified childbirth educator. Mary has been an adjunct faculty member at California State University, Dominguez Hills since 2021, where she teaches anti-bias practices to prepare future early childhood educators. She holds an endorsement in California as an infant family early childhood advanced transdisciplinary mental health practitioner.

Currently a fellow at the UC Davis CPE Napa Infant-Parent & Early Childhood Mental Health program, she enjoys the company of friends, cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers, adding to her bedside book stack, and watching movies with her family.
